Functional Friends: Social Groups

Social groups are play based groups led by our Occupational Therapists. Each group will be divided based on developmental age in order to provide appropriate therapeutic guidance for children and families. All of the supplies, toys and games will be provided. 

During our social groups, you will have access to consistent therapeutic guidance in a group setting, targeting specific skills including but not limited to social development, sensory processing, emotional regulation, language and development, and gross motor skills. Our social groups are ran by licensed therapists in order to assist in providing a therapeutic benefit for your family. During social group interactions, you will have access to therapists, giving you the opportunity to ask questions that are specific to you and your child. 

Functional Friends has partnered with SouthBrook Christian Church located in Miamisburg, Ohio where we currently offer our social groups. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all families feel welcome and valued. SouthBrook provides a wheelchair accessible environment for all families, as well as open treatment spaces to foster social development and friendships.
