Playful Pals

Playful Pals is a fine motor & play based social group led by our Occupational Therapists. This group is for ages 3-6 and focuses on providing opportunities for social skill and fine motor development. This group is being offered 2 times per month for $50 each session. Each day, your child will complete a themed fine motor craft that incorporates team building in order to promote social skills and boost friendships. 

During Playful Pals, you will have access to consistent therapeutic guidance in a group setting, targeting specific skills including but not limited to social development, sensory processing, fine motor skills, emotional regulation and language and development. Our social groups are ran by licensed therapists in order to assist in providing a therapeutic benefit for your family. During social group interactions, you will have access to therapists, giving you the opportunity to ask questions that are specific to you and your child. This service is a perfect addition for children currently receiving therapy, on a waitlist or are looking to fill the gap between school related services and summer break! 

Functional Friends has partnered with SouthBrook Christian Church located in Miamisburg, Ohio where we currently offer our social groups. We strive to create an inclusive environment where all families feel welcome and valued. SouthBrook provides a wheelchair accessible environment for all families, as well as open treatment spaces to foster social development and friendships.
