Brooke is a board-certified occupational therapist and Co-Founder and CEO of both Functional Friends Therapy and the Functional Friends Foundation. She holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree from Kettering College, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in Healthcare Management with a Pre-Occupational Therapy focus.
Her passion lies in helping individuals gain greater independence and supporting them in engaging meaningfully in the activities that matter most—whether at home, in school, or in the community.
Brooke has extensive experience working with children and young adults across a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Developmental Delays. Her professional background spans outpatient pediatric therapy and school-based occupational therapy, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how to support children across different settings.
Through Functional Friends, Brooke is committed to creating inclusive, therapy-driven programs that blend clinical expertise with real-world connection—empowering her clients and their families every step of the way.
Ashley is a board-certified occupational therapist and the Co-Founder and President of both Functional Friends Therapy and the Functional Friends Foundation. She holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree from the University of Findlay and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wright State University.
Ashley is deeply passionate about empowering individuals to succeed in the activities that are most meaningful to them—whether those are things they want to do, need to do, or are expected to do.
She brings extensive experience working with children across a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delays, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and sensory processing differences. Ashley has experience working in outpatient pediatrics and school based settings.
Through Functional Friends, Ashley is dedicated to creating accessible opportunities for growth, inclusion, and meaningful connections for families and children.
Kelsey graduated from the University of Dayton with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is originally from Beavercreek, Ohio and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Dayton where she studied pre-physical therapy. Kelsey is passionate about helping patients learn how to strengthen and care for their bodies.
She has experience working with a variety of populations across the lifespan including children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, developmental delays and more as well as adults with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal diagnoses. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her nieces and nephew.
Brooke is a board-certified Occupational Therapist who holds a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree from the University of Cincinnati, along with a minor in Psychology. Before earning her MOT, she gained valuable clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Brooke has worked with a wide range of individuals, from adults in trauma and critical care to children with diverse needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Feeding Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, and sensory processing challenges.
She resides in Miamisburg with her husband and their three children.
