Functional Friends is currently an expert mobile service, providing private therapy sessions within the comfort of your own home or community to provide flexibility and convenience. Functional Friends additionally offers pediatric social groups, fine motor groups and adaptive classes that take place within the Dayton area to encourage functional play and social skills for children of all ages.
Our occupational therapy services aim to improve the lives of children by promoting functional independence in childhood occupations through play-based therapeutic interventions. Skills that can be addressed include fine motor, bilateral coordination, visual perception, self-care, body awareness, social skills, executive functioning, and self-regulation. Our services can be provided to children of all ages and with various diagnoses including but not limited to Developmental Delay, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
Our physical therapy services aim to improve functional strength and motor planning in order to improve independence and quality of life across the lifespan. Skills that can be addressed include motor function, balance, coordination, agility and speed, flexibility, postural and core strengthening, and developmental delays. Our services can be provided to all ages and diagnoses including but not limited to Developmental Delay, Torticollis, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Toe Walking, and other orthopedic conditions.
